I have a Hallicrafters Cyclone III SR400A that I sent to Ca. and had it restored.
The power supply was rebuilt (all new capacitors and resistors replaced) and anything that was showing some age in the transceiver was replaced. Also the cabinets were repainted. I have no idea what this rig is worth and would appreciate a suggestion as to it's value. Thank you.

Could someone please give me an idea what this rig is worth? I'm considering selling it but have no idea what to ask for it. Thank you.

Hi Harry,

I have been watching SR400/400a prices for the last 4 months. In June there was an SR400a + PS500 that went for around $650. I have the pics but unfortunately it has dropped off the "completed listings". In May on eHam from Hawaii there was an SR400a + PS500 + external VFO asking $1000.

I was also emailed there was an SR400a + PS500 at Dayton for $500.

I am interested in buying.

Andrew,
This SR400A has been restored. I had a ham in Ca. offered me $600.00 for it and told me that it was worth a lot more than that but that was all he could come up with due to the fact that he was about to be laid off from his job and was going to have a hard time making his house payment. These rigs are scarce and I will not give mine away. I don't have to sell it.......I'm just not using it. Thanks for the reply.

Yes I agree Harry. They are fairly rare, only one SR400/400a appears each month on eBay. When you set your price please let know and I'll see if I can match it. You can find me on QRZ.
