I have a Kenwood TS430s rig with the YK-88s filter installed.

Can someone tell me what advantage/advantages I will gain by adding the YK-88SN and the YK-88A filters.

The YK-88C and CN are obvious.

Be easy on me fellas....I just got my Tech ticket.

None, except one set plugs in and the other is soldered in. They both work the same.

Hi Andy
Welcome to ham radio. The YK-88's are 2nd IF filters A for AM 6 KC ,S SSB 2.4 KC,SN SSB narrow 1.8 KC C CW 500 Hrtz, CN CW Narrow 250hrtz.The narrow filters are nice for crowded band conditions, but antenuate weak signals.I'd settle for the C & S and skip the A.YK--88( ) -1's are plug in version,TS-450.570,690 etcYour TS 430 uses YK-88's Solder in's.
You can visit INRAD website for additional info (aftermarket replacements)
