I am trying to repair a tempo 2020 could use some help .The receive is distorted in all modes . The oscilators are on frequency i put the usb and lsb filters in parrallel and audio clears up so what do i need to look at .PS if you want to take the time the schematic is on line .THANKS

What signals are you llistening to.. if AM then perhaps putting the filters in parallel
would clear up an am station in SSB mode.
I'm not familar with the radio but if it covers the am broadcast band that would be
a source of strong even signals.
other wise 20 meters would have the most consistant SSB signals on upper isde band.
also tuning SSB signals is as much an art as a science.. takes some practice
to get it where you like the tone and clarity

also as your screen name does not indicate a call sign, to test the transmit function you must use a dummy load..
as you cannont transmit to an antenna with out a license.
