Dear Ham folks,

Request help in locating some hard to find 1940s-50s radio equipment to help in the restoring a very rare, original, USMC FAC radio jeep. This jeep is one of only 2 known surviors, this one still bearing the original USMC hoodmarkings.

The jeep was actually a part of the radio set, called AN/MRC-35A. It had the following components:

AN/ARC-27 (Mount = MT-822)
C-626/ARC-27 (Mount = MT-821) (have unit, not the mount)
AN/ART-13 (mount MT-284)
BC-348 (Mount FT-154)
KY-132/U Keyer
C-2198/MRC-35A Control unit
CU-25/ART-13 Antenna load coil
DY-12 Dynamotor
AN/GRA-6 control set
CV-25/ART-13 Antenna Loading coil
CV-24/ART-13 Antenna Shunt Capacitor
RF antenna coil
MK-327/MRC-35A installation kit
H-33E/PT Handset
MHS-11 Headset
Carbon microphones x2 (is this the T-17?)

Here is a dairy link to the jeep:

We beleive that its important to restore this jeep with its original equipment.
Will pay a finders fee for the rare C-2198 dash mounted control unit.

Items do not necesarily have to working.

Photos:

It was bought surplus from the US military in 1979. Thank god it was not "butchered" like so many others like it. This is what it was like when
picked up:

Note the big hole in the dash where the C-2198 control unit mounts:

For those that are into collecting old military vehicles, its one in a million chance that you actually find a photo showing your unit in military use. I was extremely lucky, and not only got a photo of it, but the original motorpool document, ordering the change of the M38A1 jeep into the AN/MRC-35A radio unit:

Interesting to note, that it cost the US military $8700 to convert the jeep back in may 1965.

Any comments or help highly appreciated.
