Well I did it. Last night, I stopped on the way home and made several contacts thru the satellite AO-51. They were my first satelite QSO's. I was so excited that I failed to write any down. I didn’t have time. They were coming so fast. I heard folks from Colorado and Mexico.
It was a pass that lasted 14 minutes; it traveled from the south to the north.
It was fun I used a Arrow ant and a Yaesu VX7r

I was alongside a road that had a large amount of traffic just sitting. They were looking at me.Can you imagine, you look over and you see a guy in the parking lot holding a small “TV” type antenna and talking into a hand held radio. They must have thought I was crazy.

Next time I will be better prepared to record the contacts for my log book.

My Call sign is K5RXQ I was in EM12.

If you happen to read this and where part of those QSO's please leave a note here.

I have already made plans to record my next attempts so that I can document the contacts and actually send QSL cards.
Thanks for your time.
